Our client, who is a beauty product manufacturer, approached us with an image they would like engraved in the mold. Before coming to us, our client had approached many manufacturers, who had rejected the project since our client only had picture.
Approach:
Our in-house designing team traced the design and created a CAD file from the client's image.
Then, we began by understanding the part application and capturing the functional dimensions, which included:
- The right grade of silicone to be used to make the mold Non-Sticky
- Place enough drafts angels on the mold to make the soap pop-out easily
After thorough discussions and multiple alterations, we started the development process with the design’s approval from the client.
Product Development Strategy:
Our engineering team efficiently tackled the project challenges by first making a prototype of a single-cavity mold.
The intricate profiling used in the mold was crucial to maintain its aesthetics, so when the soap was to be de-molded, it would look more royal and aesthetic.
Multiple Modifications were made before we finalized the end design, which was approved by the client. Finally, we proceeded with the development of the silicone mold.
